    The routes

    Six routes, one pre-loaded on the Garmin. The Lake Suites sits on Walplein, at the quiet southern end of the centre by the Minnewater, where the canal path out towards Damme begins — a well-placed starting point for riding out of the city.

    Do I need to plan a route?
    No. Six routes exist and one comes pre-loaded on a Garmin fitted to the handlebar. It works without phone signal.
    Which route should I pick?
    Brugge Unlocked at 10 km for a morning. Damme & Polder Dive at 40 km for a full day.
    Do I need a helmet?
    Not legally in Belgium, but one comes with every bike.
    When are they open?
    10:00 to 17:30, closed Mondays.
    Do I book through The Lake Suites?
    No. Happy Wheels is a separate business and takes its own bookings.
